Love burns brighter than sunshine

Isn't it nice waking up and starting your day with a lot like love? Nine hours or so before the New Year starts and I'm pretty excited what that would bring. Probably, another year older, Xioms will turn 3, meeting new people, falling in love, and so on. Sheesh, this blog's getting mushy!

It was 9 in the morning when Xioms went in to my room and woke me up. I promised last night that we'll have a coffee tomorrow. Yes, coffee's bad for kids and it was not literally coffee drinking! One of her god parents gave my kiddo a coffee/tea set toy present. Xioms wanted to open it at an instant but t'was already her bed time -- that's when I promised. One thing I learned is that you never make a promise that you can't keep or you'll feel bad and guilty. So we did have our coffee and enjoyed every moment.

This day seems ordinary though there's a big event to celebrate. Ordinary day at home is not ordinary at all and I don't know why I keep on saying the word ordinary. Anyway, mom's preparing for our feast later tonight and I'm looking forward to our dessert. We planned on buying Banapple or DQ's oreo ice cream cake. I know, I know... and I never hesitate to announce that I'm a DQ addict. So, what would be on our table tonight? Well, so far, am seeing some pata tim (Chinese delicacy), grilled milk fish, marinated chicken, pasta, all sorts of fruits and chocolates!

So there's nothing much to say, just a Happy New Year and enjoy the sunshine with your loved ones.

Viatores' Xmas 09

My lovely Vs and I had our Xmas dinner at Mr. Jones, Greenbelt 5 recently. It was planned since we will be having a huge surprise for our good friend Keti. As you know, Keti went through a very tragic event (Ondoy) so the rest of the group decided to give her a little something that would help her start.

Anyway, we all arrived late as usual except for Five. Hehe. Karla didn't make it as she needed to attend on to something really important. Food was all yummy and are all in huge servings! I was thrilled that they have chardonnay and yes, I ordered!

After consuming all the carbs we ordered, we did the traditional exchanging of gifts. Then we handed Keti our presents! We were all excited to see Keti's reaction. She never cried though I felt she wanted to -- lots of people around, she can never afford to humiliate herself again in public. Joke!

What's inside the bag? Well, Five and Bnx bought lots of stuff and I should commend those two - they did a great job! Kets got everything, from head to toe AND it all fits perfectly!

We bid adieu as I needed to rush to Glorietta for the Avatar movie. I promised Achi that we'll watch this on 3D. Keti's in the night shift so she needed to go as well. F was like, "It's Midnight Madness for gawd's sake!"

Conclusion: We all had a blast. We always have. I love you ladies! Till our next Xmas Party.

Vs almost complete

PS Wishing Pogi was here.

Goodbye For Now

People always leave. That's one thing I believe in. It sounds negative but it isn't. A very recent example is about my good friend Oliver.

I wasn't really that surprised when I found out about his migration to the US; actually, I felt happy for him. It's an opportunity that cannot be experienced by all. Plus, he waited many years for that, it comes to a point of seizing any hope but you know, some things just happens in time and are real.

Anyway, he invited some of his good friends to go and hang out with him for the very last time. We had dinner at his sister's house and I sure did enjoy the kaldereta. It was my favorite Filipino dish of all time! I knew it was in the menu, t'was one of his sister's specialty. We all had fun and like mountain snakes after eating.

The hardest part was saying goodbye. But looking on the bright side, we might bump on each other in the future. So I said, "Goodbye for now and see you again soon my good friend."

Fourth Year at B&M!

I didn't expect myself staying in a company for almost five years. Apparently, I did!

Last Friday, I attended our company's Christmas party in Blue Leaf at Taguig. It was my fourth time to attend such an event with the same company. Our theme is Better Together and the funny thing is I went there all by me self. I have a very hectic schedule you know... lots of "mom chores" to do before I can go, relax and do whatever I want.

Anyway, my colleagues decided to achieve a group of instrumentalists or what we call an orchestra. I wasn't so sure if I can make it to the party then so I never joined but I do have a contingency plan though. What I planned was to wear my good old DMs, skinny jeans and a loose classy black top - I sounded like a real rockstar eh? Hehe.

I got there oh so late, starving for food and some wine. Ate some pasta and some beef dish then went to find where the liquor is. Saw some group of crayolas, rockstars and vampires, pirates and toiletries, sweet white angels AND Clockwork Orange impersonators! Sheesh! My favorite droogs were there and I cannot believe that someone else in the company knows such a great film! That made me happy as I remember "my Alex". This party was great, they never run out of alcohol and good music.

I never won anything on the raffle but who cares? I'm happy and full and tipsy -- that's all that matters. Until next Christmas party and by that time, I'll be on the service awardee list!

Munchkin's Vocabulary 2

Xioms is already 2 years and 5 months and yeah, she knows lots of words now. Here are some:

take a bath - the former "ikat"
comeer - come here
les pyay - let's play
dow want - i don't want
more time - means again
kitos - mosquitos
Pingcey - Pitzel
ustairs - upstairs
tabiber - teddy bear
heeyam - here i am
jamamas - pajamas
waymbow - rainbow
chichiya - chichirya or chips
choleyt - chocolate

She can now perfectly count 1 through 10 in Spanish (thank you Dora for that!).
A bit confused with my and mine i.e., "Barbie is mine toy. Mine only!"

Forgot some of it... you see, she's been good with words. She's like a parrot who copies everything you say so we, at home always watch our mouths with total care. Haha!

I love you baby!

Globe Telecom - Money Sucking Worthless Piece of Crap

I so fucking hate Globe right now especially their stupid moronic call center agents. The only reason I'm still keeping their sim card is because of my one year supply of Immortal load since I purchased a Modu phone. Once I no longer need their service, I'll get rid of their sim from my phone and gonna switch to another network!

Nov 26, I am expecting a load from them and haven't received anything that day. Usually, I receive loads early morning during Tuesdays and Thursdays. That was the set up. Actually, this is the second time I experienced not receiving the load on time (but mind you, this is the worst) so I called Globe's hotline that night. I explained my situation and was in the middle of the actual concern then I was cut off. So I have to call back again, get through the whole dialing process before I can actually speak to their agent. Every time I got in, they tediously ask for my mobile number, my name and my concern which I find quite stupid. I had to explain to them from the beginning as if they didn't have notes from my previous calls. Upon addressing my concern for the second time, they put me on hold to gather some "data" and poofed! Line was cut AGAIN! Tried the third time, got in and before anything else, I told the operator to make sure I will not be disconnected because I've been calling them numerous times. On this third call, the agent told me to monitor it within the day and I was like, it's already 9:45PM, should I expect to receive it within this day? She said yes so I told her that you guys have 2 hours and 15 minutes left to work on this.

Nov 27, I called again to tell them that I still haven't receive the load. They apologized and said they're going to file a report and the matter will be dealt with their support team, which I doubt if that team do exist, and the monitoring time is 3-5 days. It wasn't really okay for me, but I said fine.

Nov 28, still no load so I called again to make sure someone is working on it. They told me the same old shitty spiel and added that they're putting my concern on top priority. Duh? Giving another false hope. Bullshit!

Nov 29, Nov 30 - still, nada!

Dec 1, I received a load which is intended for this day. My load for the 26th of November - squadouche! So I was urged to call back again for the nth time. The agent was stating the old stupid shit to me. I was like, do you have any plans of giving me my load because if you don't I'll be returning back this fucking phone. That's one of the main reason I bought it! I was so pissed beyond anybody's imagination so I asked for a supervisor. She told me that their supervisor was taking another call and will call me as soon he/she is done with it. Are you fucking kidding me? Here I am, full of rage and that's all you can say to me. I cursed and hung up. Good thing I was not there because if I was, I may have killed her. And guess what, I received a text from them saying "Globe Advisory: You have already received all of your free Immortaltxt for the Modu promo." What the hell? That night, still no load received, I went to Market Market's Globe hub. I was entertained yes; same old shit, yes; blah blah blah... then they told me they're gonna call me tomorrow as they need to check on my account with Modu since it was "Modu's" side who's gonna answer all my concern. Hello? as if I wasn't using a Globe sim card. Now, they're blaming their ridiculous job to another. So I asked them if I can return the unit since it was only purchased last month and I'm not receiving the privilege that I should receive. I was told, I can... but there's no money back guarantee. Fucking unbelievable!!! Fuck you Globe, you're a big mistake! Such a waste of time.

Today, and it's been a week, I still haven't received anything. I'm done calling them. I already look pathetic like begging for a lousy load. As soon as this one year free load is finished, I am switching to a different network.

December Fuss

I can't believe that it's already December. We only have 23 days to go before Christmas. Still, I'm not so sure of what to feel - maybe because I had a bad week. Anyway, the whole point of me logging in here is to rant and rave about something but I won't right now since this was my first post for December. Oh well, my page title says it all. It's a metaphoric paradox thingy you know. Whatever! I better be doing my draft or my angry momentum will fade. Hah!
